Each Sunday there will be an 'at home' service here to work through at any point through the week

As far as possible it will use the same elements (sermons etc) as the service in the church building on Sunday mornings.

There are now services in the church building on Sundays and Wednesdays at 10:30am.

To book your place for a Sunday or a Wednesday service please email
Office@stjamesalperton.org.uk with the following information

  1. Your name.
  2. How many seats you need for you and your household.
  3. whether you need a space for a pushchair or wheelchair.
  4. Which service at St James you usually attend (or whether you are joining us for the first time - you will be very welcome!)

For Sunday services, we will close bookings at 12pm Friday and will add any received after this to a waiting list.
For Wednesday services we will close bookings at 12pm Tuesday.

Please bear with us as we all get to grips with this different way of organising things.

Apart from receiving communion, all of our worship will continue to be accessible on this page so that we continue to worship together as a church even when only a fraction of us can meet in person.

Tamil TAMIL SONG 1 IN THIS SLOT

Blessed are you, Sovereign God, creator of all,
to you be glory and praise for ever.

You founded the earth in the beginning
and the heavens are the work of your hands.

In the fullness of time you made us in your image,
and in these last days you have spoken to us
in your Son Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh.

As we rejoice in the gift of your presence among us
let the light of your love always shine in our hearts,
your Spirit ever renew our lives
and your praises ever be on our lips.

Blessed be God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Blessed be God for ever.
Amen.

PSALM IN THIS SLOT

Our time of Confession:

Lord God,
we have sinned against you;
we have done evil in your sight.
We are sorry and repent.
Have mercy on us according to your love.
Wash away our wrongdoing and cleanse us from our sin.
Renew a right spirit within us
and restore us to the joy of your salvation;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

May the Father of all mercies
cleanse us from our sins,
and restore us in his image
to the praise and glory of his name,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

EXTRA SONG IN THIS SLOT

Prayers

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory
are yours now
and for ever.
Amen.

Collect Prayer

God of Glory
by the raising of your Son
you have broken the chains of death and hell:
fill your Church with faith and hope;
for a new day has dawned
and the way to life stands open
in our Saviour Jesus Christ.
Amen.

Heidi is working with GAIN (part of AGAPE) and is collecting clothing to help in CAMP MORIA in GREECE, where both the pandemic and refugees fleeing crises are causing great need.

If you have items you can donate, please bag them up, mark the bag "GAIN" and take it to the upstairs landing of the Church
